One of the most basic services of every telecommunications company is the ability to keep track of your load. Before all those promos and data, we only have Balance Inquiry. Would you believe that there was a time that unlimited text or unlimited calls does not exist? And phones can’t even access the internet. Those were the days when every peso counts.

You pay a peso for every message of 300 words and seven pesos per minute of call. You won’t send out a simple “Hi” message because that would be a waste. And as a student back then, balance inquiry is a constant textmate.

Now, there are way more options to communicate with people. We have the FB messenger, Viber, and many other mobile apps. Of course, we still have the typical prepaid or postpaid load. But now we consume them better with the promos offered by Globe or TM to their subscribers. With all those choices, we have more to keep track of. This article will discuss how to monitor all these.

How to check balance in Globe?

There are five ways to check your load balance. 

Via text message

This is the most common way to check balance.

  1. Simply text BAL and send to 222.
  2. You will receive a message like this. “Hi! Your load balance as of (inquiry date and time) is P1.00, valid till (validity date and time) You have 0 text to all networks.”

The message is simple and direct, detailing your load balance and its validity period plus the free texts available. This inquiry is free of charge.

Via voice call

Call 222 and an automated voice would answer telling you that you’ll receive a message on your load balance. Technically, this message is the same as the one stated above, but this one charges P1 for every inquiry. 

Via USSD code

  1. Dial *143# on your mobile and a USSD code menu will pop up.
  2. Choose myAccount > Balance Inquiry.
  3. You will receive a text message of the balance of your account. 

Via Globe website

  1. Visit
  2. Log-in your account.
  3. For new enrollment, register your e-mail address.
  4. Click sign-in on the top right corner.
  5. Then look for the sign-up button, fill in the required details, then click Sign me up.
  6. A link will be sent to your registered e-mail address to verify your account. Click the link.
  7. After successful verification, you may sign in to your account.
  8. Click the Manage Account button then register your mobile number.
  9. A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number to confirm ownership.
  10. You can assign a nickname for every number you add.
  11. Click on the newly added number to view the load balance in that number. 

Via Globe SIM menu

  1. Look for the SIM card icon on your apps, called Globe prepaid.
  2. Click on the icon then click the Bal Inquiry on the menu.
  3. This will prompt Globe to send a message to your mobile number with the details of your load balance. 

How to check data balance in Globe?

Via text message

  • Text DATA BAL to 8080 to check the MB available on your active promos
  • Text GOSAKTO STATUS to 8080 to check the Globe GOSAKTO subscription balance. This includes not only the remaining MB of available on your promo but also the text and calls balance. The reply also indicates the validity of your promo subscription. 
  • Text GOSURF STATUS to 8080 to check the balance of your GOSURF subscription.

Via USSD code

  1. Dial *143# then choose myAccount.
  2. Choose the Bal Inquiry menu.
  3. Choose 5 Mobile Internet Usage, then choose 1 Check my mobile internet promo usage

Via Globe website

  1. Go to
  2. Log-in to your account.
  3. If you’re not registered yet, refer to number 4 above to know more about how to register.
  4. Upon sign-in, click Manage Accounts then choose the mobile number you want to check.
  5. On the lower site of the page, you will see the running data consumption of your mobile. 

How to check TM load balance?

TM load balance can be accessed via USSD code.

Dial *143# then follow the menu prompting the Bal inquiry.

If this did not work, you may try using other Globe sim card to check for your TM account via USSD code.

Go to MyAccounts > Balance Inquiry > Check the remaining load balance of another prepaid number. 

You can also add your TM mobile number to the Globe website. Simply register your e-mail then add the TM number after successful verification of account.
