According to Circular 2019-014, all SSS salary loan applications must now be submitted online.
The walk-in application process is only available for other SSS loans, such as the Calamity Loan Assistance Program (CLAP), the Educational Assistance Loan Program (EALP), and the Emergency Loan Assistance Program (ELAP).
This is actually a step-by-step guide that will show you how to file an SSS salary loan application online:
1. Get in touch with the SSS Member Portal by going to the new SSS website.
Before, there were two My.SSS portals (the old and the new), but now there is only one that has been consolidated to serve the members’ needs.
You will be then asked to tick a box that says “I’m not a robot” when you land on the page. You can then click the Submit button.
SSS offers three portal options: Member, Employer, and Small Business Wage Subsidy Program. You will be redirected to the SSSS member login page if you are an individually paying member.
2. Sign in to My.SSS account with user ID and password.
You need to confirm your identity by checking the box next to “I’m not a robot” after entering your username and pass word.
If you did have forgotten or lost your username or password, this article will show you how to recover them.
3. Choose ‘Apply for a Salary Loan’ under the E-SERVICES tab.
4. Select your preferred method of electronic loan disbursement.
The proceeds of the loan can be received in one of the following ways, as explained in the previous section:
Participating bank in PESONet
Cards issued by the Social Security Administration
You can then enroll your account by clicking the link provided if you wish to receive the loan proceeds via either of the first two options.
Alternatively, if you would like a free UBP Quick Card, you can apply at any of the select SSS offices that process these cards.
Disbursement via check is currently not available.
5. Reminder regarding Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM).

The disbursement account enrollment page will be provided to members who elect to receive loan proceeds via a PESONet-accredited bank account or an e-wallet (see previous step). Once you click this link, you will see a reminder list for the Disbursement Account Enrollment Module.
Download the PDF version of the document or give it a quick read. Click “Proceed” after checking the box that says “I certify that I have read and understand the foregoing reminders on account enrollment”.
6. You can enroll your bank account or mobile number using the Disbursement Account Enrollment Module.
If you chose to enroll via bank account or mobile number as your preferred disbursement channel, you will be redirected to the main Disbursement Account Enrollment Module after reading the DAEM reminders.
Upload a document containing your account name and number after providing your bank account details or mobile number. For banks, you can provide a screenshot of your online banking account dashboard as long as it shows the name of your bank, your bank account number, and your account name, which should be about the same as the one provided in your SSS account.
You also need to provide both your name and account number if you’re enrolling an e-wallet account like the GCash account.
Please check the box provided to give personal information to SSS once all the pertinent information has been provided. You can then enroll the disbursement account by clicking the “Enroll Disbursement Account” button.
7. Please wait for your Disbursement Account Enrollment to be approved.
Within 1 to 2 working days, the servicing branch will receive the supporting documents you submitted.
You will receive a notification like email and SMS notification letting you know that your proof of account has been processed and approved if your Disbursement Account Enrollment is approved.
8. Apply for a salary loan.
Once your disbursement account has been approved, go to your My.SSS account and click on “Apply for Salary Loan” under E-Services.
It is a good idea to double check that all of your contact information is current, including your mailing address, telephone, and email address. For information about updating or changing your account, click here.
Select the amount of salary loan you need. An automatic display will let you know how much you can borrow. Simply select the exact amount needed for your current situation from the drop-down menu.
Pick how you wish to claim the loan proceeds once you have chosen the amount you wish to borrow. The account you enrolled will be available in the drop-down menu since you already enrolled your disbursement account.
Once you have read the reminders, click “I agree” on the box that says “Terms and Conditions”, then click “Proceed”.
9. This loan disclosure statement can be read or printed.
Listed below is a summary of all the key details regarding your SSS salary loan:
Loan proceeds minus deductions (loanable amount minus loanable amount);
Your previous loan balance (if applicable);
Amount amortized monthly (principal plus interest);
Due date schedule for payments.
Once you have reviewed the Information Disclosure Statement, click Proceed.
For future reference, keep a copy of the transaction number. Your email address will also receive a confirmation message showing the same transaction number.
10. You will receive a notification informing you of the status of your SSS salary loan application.

The following points should be noted after you submit your salary loan application online:
You do have 3 working days to request certification (rejection/approval) from your employer. Your application will then be notified via email or SMS once this step has been completed;
You will also be notified via email or text message if your loan application has been approved for separated, self-employed, OFW, and voluntary members.
11. Take advantage of the loan proceeds.
After the loan proceeds are ready, member-borrowers can claim them through their preferred method.
Upon receiving an approval email from the SSS, my loan proceeds were deposited within 2 days into my bank account.
